My name is Amy and I am the founder of Philosophy of Dog. Philosophy of Dog is the result of a lifelong desire for me to want to work with animals, dogs in particular, but not in the traditional sense. It became apparent to me early in my life that I could never bring myself to face the negatives that come along with the positives of being a veterinarian or a shelter worker and being a supporter of rescue and having no knowledge of breeding I was not going to step in to that arena, which left me locked out of most of my opportunities to work with dogs as a career. I did however have a love for baking and creating new and tasty treats for my family and it was in early September of 2008 that I realized I could combine these two loves and make my dream of working with dogs a reality.
The name "Philosophy of Dog" grew out of a desire for something catchy as the name of my business, after hours of searching for names that popped "Philosophy of Dog" came to me and so it became. The name really appealed to me because the philosophy of dog is one filled with love, happiness and purity, things which are all too often overlooked in our everyday lives.
Philosophy of Dog offers many homemade and nutritious treats for dogs of all sizes and allergy levels. It was important to me to be able to offer treats which not only taste delicious and are not produced in commercial settings with unnatural preservatives and chemicals but which also cater to dogs with allergies to certain ingredients. Philosophy of Dog treats also combine ingredients which offer additional health benefits for the healthiest of dogs at affordable prices. |
